Money given to staff, accounted for.
A work expense advance puts company money with a person who needs to spend it for the business. Keep that advance separate from salary, lending and expenses paid personally.
Record the handover
Record the amount, staff member, date and payment method after money changes hands outside the app. Add a note explaining the purpose, so the person reviewing expenses has context.
Review what was spent
Staff record business expenses and identify whether they spent from an advance, paid personally or the company paid directly. Pending claims stay separate from approved balances. An advance is not fully accounted for just because a claim has been submitted.
Understand what remains
Company money still with an employee and approved costs the company owes are different amounts. Review both before settling. A zero net balance can still mean both sides need an offset recorded.
Close the loop
Record the return of unused money, a reimbursement, or an offset after checking the preview. A correction creates a new history entry rather than silently rewriting what happened.
Check the fit for your business
The current release records amounts in Indian rupees (INR), with the business time zone set to Asia/Kolkata. International availability does not mean every currency or business time zone is supported. Payments happen outside the app; it does not hold or transfer money.
